Who Values You Most, Professionally?

In your employment, is personal growth something you take personally, or do you leave that up to “the company?” Another way to consider this is - Who has your greatest professional interests in mind, you or your employer? Do you see yourself continuing to be in demand and receiving great reviews and hopefully, compensatory raises? Or only if someone else

sees that value in you?

If your answers to the above questions are unclear to you, then you may need to be on a more intentional growth process than you are currently. No need to fear in the immediate future, however, if you do not see yourself progressing towards handling your current situation better and better, then I suspect there could be some danger. Today’s business is moving faster and faster. If you aren’t preparing for better, then you are either expecting your competition will not improve either, or, more likely, eventually, you are going to move backward.

All human beings possess a desire to connect with others - some more than others. We are all doing the best we can. There is no one better than anyone else. There is no one worse than anyone else. We are all on life’s journey together. I am not trying to suggest it is all about competition, because then we have a scarcity mindset. However, if you look at how we function in life today - we use Amazon (which started as an on-line bookstore, now it sells just about everything), cars (who would have imagined, that the electric car company, Tesla, would be taking over the car industry, cell phones (can you even remember being tethered to the wall)?

Our thoughts determine our destiny. Our destiny determines our legacy. “You are today where your thoughts have brought you. You will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.” James Allen

What could growth mean for you? What are you looking forward to?
