Do the right thing, even if it’s the hard thing to do. When you do the right thing you build a
strong sense of satisfaction. It also removes the guilt and bad feelings which make you value yourself less. Plus, it prevents you from having to apologize and make restitution. Doing the right thing adds value to your character which attracts people to you.
When starting to build self-discipline “Practice a small discipline daily.” Something specific to an area of life that you want to be able to discipline others in. As you master these small disciplines celebrate the small victories. This is also a way to build up your self-talk. Your small victories provide opportunities to say, “Yes! I did it!” instead of, “It’s about time!”
