The Second Step to Riches May be Harder Than You Think

I firmly believe that in order to Think and Grow Rich, however you want to define rich, one

must develop their faith. While much of the time, I may be thinking of a spiritual faith. Here I am talking about (faith) belief in others. And in order to have this belief in others, one must also develop the appropriate belief in themselves. These faith steps are intertwined.

This is another aspect of faith that is important, and it deals with money. If we are not careful, we can become self-centered and selfish. I know I have been this type of person; and I know others as well. We don’t really want to be around these kinds of people.

I think that ideally, we recognize that the world revolves around being aware of other people and what is going on in their lives. (Of course, secretly, or not so, we want others to think about us as well.) One of my favorite quotes of John Maxwell, which comes from the book Winning with People is, “The entire population of the world, with one minor exception, is composed of others.” However, when we pay attention to others, and make them feel valued. We grow in value to them. And that growth is deep and long lasting. It leads to another famous line, by Zig Ziglar, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.” If you want money, help others. It will come around. It all just takes time.

“The entire population of the world, with one minor exception, is composed of others.” John C. Maxwell
