The fear of poverty is really significant when it comes to money. I’ll bet we all know what
poverty means to each of us and it doesn’t have to be the same thing for all of us. If you are like me, and have ever said, “I (or we) can’t afford that,” then you get it. And yet, I will say, you can afford that. Maybe not today.
When we say that we have a poverty mindset, and it is not even necessarily about money, it’s just that is what our focus is on. I learned a while ago, in my study of Financial Peace with Dave Ramsey, that I can afford anything, it’s how I approach money that is the key to it all.
